Bea, a young woman living in London is healing from a toxic relationship and the loss of a beloved uncle who left her a second-hand bookshop.
It had been an especially difficult year, and the shop's trivial daily conversations, local faces, and calm were all that she desired. That is, until the night of a party when two opposing sects of a forgotten race deliberately insert themselves into her life.
Her quiet existence turns into turmoil as she begins to unravel a secret past. A lost history in which love, revenge, betrayal, and magic become a sacred journey leading her to uncover a much bigger tale.
The future is not set in stone, and the choices she makes ripple through the cosmos. As the mystery unfolds, she realises that no matter what form your soul takes there are consequences for actions in which time has no relevance – we call it karma, they call it Vororbaa (Vo-ror-bla).
What would you do if someone else’s soul depended on your existence?
Who are the Otherworldly beings, and what do they want from Bea?
Book Excerpts
Book Ramblings
Purple is used in book titles of this series because it symbolises magic and mystery.
Purple is a rare colour in nature and is often seen as having sacred meaning. Lavender, orchid, lilac, and violet flowers are often considered enchanted, sacred, and precious. Purple was the colour of the first synthetic, organic, chemical dye made by man. It was called “Mauveine” and made from coal tar. The recipe was discovered by William Henry Perkin in 1856.
There is also Tyrian purple. More HERE
The colour purple or violet is seen as uniting the “wisdom” of blue and the “love” of red, symbolising justice and royalty. Leonardo da Vinci believed that the power of meditation increases ten times when done in purple light, as in the light of stained glass. Violet is the colour associated with the Crown Chakra. This chakra is the main coordination centre of the body and ensures connection to universal sources of energy. The saying “purple haze” refers to euphoria.
Awake in Purple Dreams ~ meaning dreaming while awake is a place where reality and dreams meet via a mystical veil that joins worlds. Reality becomes blurred and substituted by a visionary fantasy experienced while awake.
Her little piece of heaven, a place she could visit in dreams and while wide awake.
On the bus, Jerry sat head bobbing to his latest playlist with only one earphone in. It was his way of staying alert. Tommy told him not to fuck up and he didn’t intend to. He felt safe now that he was in his manor, especially as most faces on the street recognised him as being the newest edition to Brandon's crew. He had resisted the urge to ring Tommy and make sure he was all right. Get the stuff to the Castle, the words rang out in his mind. He pressed the red stop button and started to make his way down the stairs nodding at a few familiar faces. The bus passed the row of shops where his favourite chicken shop stood and his stomach rumbled.
The lads all cheered as he entered the pub. They removed his hood and started rubbing his head and patting him on the back. “Watch my ‘air!” he complained.
“Blinding job, Son.” Ned winked.
Brandon swaggered over with a beaming grin.
“Told ya, he’s a good lad,” Ned stated as Brandon took the rucksack and emptied its contents on one of the tables.
Jerry heard the doors bolt shut as Brandon placed his wide tattooed arm around him. “Come and ‘ave a drink. You’ve earned it.”

He cupped her face in his hands. “Now, let me take you on a journey to the place of souls, to your little piece of heaven.” His fingers glided from her face, down her neck to her arm, and then gently grasped her hand. “With your hand in mine, permit me to show you something magical, a place where we will always be able to join with each other, no matter where we are, together or alone. There is no measure of time or distance where we are going, and we will stay grounded to this realm by our physical touch…”

Guardians of Knowledge
&
protectors come in many forms.
The purple flowers of Vo-ror-bla / karma that are mentioned in the books, subtly symbolise the flower of life.
What is the flower of life?
The Flower of Life is most likely something that you have seen before. It is a common symbol of many spiritual teachings. It has been found all over the world in many different religions and is one of the oldest sacred symbols known to man.
Its origins are from sacred geometry and contains all the essential building blocks of the universe called Platonic solids and is found in all ancient civilizations. It is a universal symbol depicting the creation of all existence.
The oldest depiction of the flower of life known to man is at The Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt.
A rather interesting depiction of the flower of life is found in The Forbidden City, in Beijing, China. It is in a spherical form underneath the paw of the “Fu-Dog,” or more accurately known as the “Guardian Lion.”Fu-Dogs were considered to be the guardians of knowledge.
All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream

A truly unique premise that merges the spiritual with the paranormal in a very interesting way. I highly recommend.

Something stirred within her as she felt the truth in Anna’s words, but just to be sure she understood correctly, asked, “The Akashic record is a library?”
Anna smiled. “Yes, a non-physical library containing all the knowledge of every soul's life since before time. Look at it as similar to human technology, the internet, you can't see the connection, yet all the information is available at your fingertips. It works like that, we each have the capability to connect from inside. Only, most humans haven't learned to unlock the code yet. Vororbla is the bright centre of an invisible universal web called Siathia, which weaves and connects all life in existence.”

(Excerpt ~ 2nd Edition)
Two Worlds - Three Hearts - Four Souls
The mental imagery of 'A carpet of purple flowers’ inspired me in such a magical way that I felt compelled to write my first novel. Once I started to place pen to paper, the story began to grow into a much greater tale.
My mind raced as folklore came entwined with love, fate entwined with choice, science entwined with spiritual teachings - all guiding me to write a romance that revolves around a karmic cycle.
Let me share with you a secret place in which only a parted veil exposes. Take you to an ethereal plane in which otherworldly, angelic-type beings tend to a well of souls. In the book, I take the reader on a brief visual journey to the home of elementals called, 'The Sindria', and their realm, 'Calageata'. It is here that the purple flower with seven petals, of Vororbla, grows, emitting a thick mist ready to greet the essence of a soul. It is heaven but seen with different eyes, the human eyes of Bea.
In the book, I mention to 'keep your light bright' as we've all experienced at some point in our lives, a time when nothing makes sense, a time when life can feel like it's too much to bear, and I really wanted to send out an important message to my readers – that you are so much more than what you initially see and to remember, light secretly masks eternity.
This light (our inner strength) may become less bright for a time, but in its fading, it is re-energising, and will again awaken from sleep. Once, our inner light screams out its very last ray of hope, the sleeping energy awakes, re-igniting the inner dimming ray.
It's reminiscent of an illuminating birth of a faraway star, and from apparent nothingness, wondrous brightness can evolve.
The Sindria teach… 'To be able to shine more brightly, first one's light must fade.’
Our light never truly diminishes and we will always shine bright again.
It's why we look to the stars.
Deep down we know we are much more than skin.

Words of the Heaven Stone
It is said that the seat of the soul resides in the heart.
To reach it, primal fears of the mind must be conquered and silenced to allow the light of the inner warrior to shine through.
Know that in this warrior's heart lies hidden strength. It's alive, glows and pulsates with the light of the soul encased in your physical being.
Grasp it, don't let go. Let it guide the way.
Believe in yourself & ignite the warrior within.

A strange pull. a connection so quick most don't believe it's real
human errors are made in love until harsh lessons are learned
this is the way for 'the feelers', the sensitives who see people naively the same as themselves,
but the world and people are not so like mind and
the deeper stories of how souls connect are then lost, closed off due to pain
internal walls are created as gatekeepers to the heart
protecting the dreamer, the feeler, the broken pieces left scattered inside
you rebuild, you heal, you learn
later, cynicism in love delivers the thump back to reality

The feels were real
therefore the love was real
if only from just your heart alone

Love rectangles tend to be more complicated than love triangles.
It describes a romantic relationship that involves four people, analogous to the typically three-sided love triangle. It is more frequently reserved for relationships where there are more connections.
Minimally, in a love rectangle, both male characters usually have some current or past association with both female characters. These relationships need not be sexual; they can be friendships or familial relations. Both males and/or both females can also be friends, family members (frequently siblings) or sworn enemies.
An example of a love rectangle in classic literature is in William Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, between the characters Lysander, Demetrius, Helena, and Hermia.
In 'A Carpet of Purple Flowers' Series, books 1 & 2, the love rectangle is composed of: Bea - Chance - Karian - Alithia.
Emotions run high as none truly understand their connections and the bigger story. What may appear as insta-love, isn't. It is destiny's way of uniting souls' but without explanation, which causes confusion - why are they so drawn to each other?
The story is bigger than the characters themselves, they are your introduction to 'A Carpet of Purple Flowers' cosmology.
